Individualized Learning & Small-Group Instruction
Diverse, vibrant, energetic, creative: These are just a few words that could describe the typical student at Amqui Elementary, A Global Communications Magnet School. Tucked back in the hills of Madison, Amqui puts individualized learning at
the center of everything we do. Here, students receive small-group instruction throughout the day to ensure they master key skills and state standards.
Amqui Tigers utilize technology and participate in hands-on activities to help prepare them for the next phase of learning. In related arts, students rotate through physical education, art, music, technology and STEM classes. We are exciting to offer STEM and technology at the elementary level. Our goal is for all of our students to be quipped for success as they enter their middle school experience.
Not only do we educate the child, but we also focus on developing them socially and emotionally. Our school is also proud of its open-door policy: We value parental involvement and want to encourage our parents to volunteer.
Amqui has been awarded the Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) grant to embed an innovative whole-school theme focused on developing 21st century skills with a focus on communications through project-based learning.
